DESCRIPTION:The Hamilton County Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency\, in conjunction with the Blue Ash Police Department\, are hosting a training opportunity for law enforcement personnel and emergency responders\, entitled Law Enforcement Active Shooter Emergency Response\, taught by Louisiana State University\, National Center for Biomedical Research and Training Academy for Counter-Terrorist Education. This class will be held on April 11-12\, 2017 at the Blue Ash Recreation Center\, 4433 Cooper Rd. Blue Ash\, OH 45242. \nCourse Description: \nTerrorism involving active shooter attacks on population centers has become part of law enforcement officers’ awareness; however\, there is a significant difference between awareness and readiness. Increased awareness of a problem does not ensure preparedness or appropriate response tactics.
