DESCRIPTION:Course Title: Law Enforcement Field Training Officer (FTO) Course \nInstructors: This course will be instructed by the training staff of the Great Oaks Police Academy. All instructors are OPOTA Certified Law Enforcement Instructors with significant training and experience in Field Training Officer Program Development\, FTO Supervision and FTO Training. A section of the course dealing with the legal implications of the FTO program will be taught by an attorney who has significant specialty in the field of Public Safety Liability. \nDescription: The course will ensure that officers who serve as FTO’s will have the needed mentoring skills to prepare new law enforcement officers to function professionally in their agencies.
