Therefore\, individuals who could benefit their private part-time work with the training are ineligible e.g. a private practice defense attorney is ineligible. ** \nA.R.I.D.E. is a course that is designed to train law enforcement officers to observe\, identify and articulate the indicators of impairment caused by drugs and/or alcohol. ARIDE training is critical for agencies seeking to reduce fatal\, injury and property damage crashes through increased impaired driver arrests. The ARIDE course serves as a SFST update and has been approved by the OPOTC as 4 hours of C.P.T. credit as a General Law Enforcement Subject. \nThe course will train participants to: \n\nUnderstand and describe the relationship of drugs to impaired driving incidents\n\n\nAdminister the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests proficiently in compliance with the most current SFST and ARIDE training curriculums. (currently 10/2015)\n\n\nObserve\, identify and articulate the observable signs of drug impairment with the established seven drug categories associated with the DRE program.\n\n\nRecognize possible medical conditions\, which may mimic the obvious observable signs of impairment.\n\n\nArticulate through testimony and written statements\, impairment attributed to alcohol and/or drugs.\n\n\nUnderstand toxicology reports and what sample is needed to be collected for use in an impaired driver arrest.\n\nPrerequisites to enroll in the A.R.I.D.E. course:\nBe a certified law enforcement officer through O.P.O.T.C. or a State Trooper \nHave completed a certified SFST course OR Be a prosecuting attorney for a court located within the State of Ohio \n(Prosecutors will not be tested for SFST Proficiency) \nClick on below attachment for Flyer \n2017-0301 – Mt Orab ARIDE Flyer

DESCRIPTION:The Hamilton County Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency\, in coordination with the National Weather Service and the Springfield Township Fire Department\, is hosting two Weather Spotter training courses \nFebruary 23\, 2017 and April 27\, 2017\n6:00-8:00 PM\nThe Grove Conference Center\n9150 Winton Rd.\nCincinnati\, OH 45231. \nWith instruction provided by a local National Weather Service meteorologist\, this course will equip students with the knowledge to become the “eyes and ears” for their communities when severe weather is imminent. Spotter reports are essential in helping local meteorologists issue timely\, accurate\, and detailed warnings by confirming  hazardous weather detected by NWS radar. Spotters serve their local communities by acting as a vital source of information when severe weather approaches\, so please forward this opportunity to those groups or personnel who may be interested. SUMMARY:Lock Pick Training For Law Enforcement:  Covert & Non-Destructive Entry
DESCRIPTION:Attendees at this training workshop will be instructed in the basics of picking and opening standard (non-high security) pin tumbler and disk wafer locks. Pin tumbler locks are the most common lock in America found on almost every residential\, apartment and business door and padlock. Disk wafer locks are commonly found on alarm box panels\, file cabinets\, desk locks\, cabinet doors\, small safes\, and utility boxes. All attendees\, in normal physical condition\, will be competent to pick locks upon conclusion of the training session. All training equipment and supplies will be provided at the workshop. \nStudents will be issued a six-piece stainless steel professional lock pick set and case and a door lock cylinder for after-course practice. Some of the practical applications for law enforcement include home lockouts\, apartment gates\, office and cabinet locks\, padlocks\, SWAT entries\, search/arrest warrants\, hostage rescue\, surveillance device insertion. \nThis class is for law enforcement only. DESCRIPTION:Sharonville PD along with Mental Health America of Northern Kentucky & Southwest Ohio will be conducting free Mental Health First Aid (Adult Version) training.
