SUMMARY:Crisis Intervention Team Training
DESCRIPTION:ADDRESSING THE NEEDS OF OUR COMMUNITY AS LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS \nThis 40-hour comprehensive training addresses mental health related topics\, crisis resolution and de-escalation skills\, and access to community-based services. A variety of learning styles are presented\, including didactics/lectures\, on-site visitation to mental health facilities\, interaction with individuals with a mental illness\, and scenario based de-escalation skill training. Experience has shown this is a minimum level of training hours as the materials covered are complex. The desired learning outcomes go beyond simple cognitive retention of the material and into behavioral changes learned as part of the training. \nTraining is FREE and supported by the Hamilton County Mental Health & Recovery Services Board\, NAMI Ohio\, and Mental Health America of Northern Kentucky & Southwest Ohio.

SUMMARY:Lock Picking and Specialized Entry Techniques
DESCRIPTION:If you want to learn how to make entry by picking locks or bypassing locks\, you’re seeking specialized entry training\, also known as covert or surreptitious entry training. This can be broken down into two components: Lock Picking & Lock Bypassing. \n\nLock Picking\nYour lock picking training will consist of extensive hands-on practice of over 150 locks. This is true saturation training; nearly the entire time you’re in class\, you’ll have locks and lock picks in your hands. The range of locks include a cross section of locking devices you’re going to encounter in the field:\nKnob locks\,\nDeadbolts\nPadlocks\nVehicles\nElevator control panels\nStrongboxes\nFile cabinets\, aircraft and many\, many more\nYou’ll learn to identify the various lock brands\, including their strengths\, weaknesses and where they’re typically found. Since lock picking is a critical component of our course\, you’ll be knowledgable on selecting the correct pick and more importantly\, it’s correct usage. Picking locks is only difficult if you start off on the wrong foot. We make sure you’re a success. \n\nLock Bypassing\nThere are occasions when picking a lock isn’t the most field expedient method of entry. You’ll learn how to immediately identify those circumstances and instead\, use a bypass technique. Bypass instruction will include the damage-free defeat of:\nElectronic locks\nMagnetic locks\nKeypads\nMechanical pushbutton locks\nConsumer-grade safes and strongboxes\nVehicles\nCombination locks\nCommercial doors\nCommercial hardware\nHotel room doors\nGarage doors\nResidential knob locks\, deadbolts\, padlocks\, gates\, lever handles and many\, many more. \nWe’ll also cover:\nMaking your own custom tools as well as the use of commercially available tools\nAcquiring working keys\nPhysical security assessment prior to entry\nEthical and legal considerations \nAll necessary tools will be provided. Every student will be given a syllabus and supplemental digital information that can be accessed on any smartphone at any time. The supplemental digital information includes valuable reference material. Upon graduation\, each student will receive their own professional pick set. \nRegistration Information:\nReservations will be accepted upon receipt of your registration form. A registration form is located at www.hollotec.com. Simply fill it out and click “send”\, which will prompt you for credit card payment. Your registration will be confirmed by email. If you have questions please contact Hollotec at 662-230-1164 or email at sholloway@hollotec.com. Visa\, Mastercard and Paypal are accepted.
