DESCRIPTION:Instructor/Armorer Certification \nCOURSE DESCRIPTION\nPepperBall products can help reduce officer and suspect injuries\, save lives\, decrease the risk of litigation\, and improve public perception of law enforcement agencies. The PepperBall System is an affordable\, nonlethal\ntool designed for patrol\, corrections\, and tactical officers in a wide variety of situations. The PepperBall Instructor/Armorer Certification course involves intensive training in the use of the nonlethal PepperBall System\, including operation\, safety\, maintenance\, and deployment. This course certifies attendees as PepperBall Instructors for their individual agency\, allowing the attendee to design a course in the safe and effective use of the PepperBall System. \nCOURSE REGISTRATION\nPlease note that the course begins promptly at 8:00 am. You should plan to show up at least 15 minutes early. All necessary equipment is provided by PepperBall. DESCRIPTION:This 5-day\, highly dynamic course is like no other because it provides\nuseful defensive and countermeasure skills in all three zones of defense\,\nespecially for close quarter battles (CQB) and effecting the arrest. It relies\nheavily on practical\, hands-on applications and is intended for those who\nwant instruction in the proper uses of both soft and hard empty-hand\ntechniques\, weapons retention\, and use of straight batons (expandable or\nrigid) for self-defense. The course also provides subject-control for escort/\ntakedown and handcuffing\, handcuffing techniques for passive and active\nresistant individuals with chain and hinge cuffs\, along with proper usage\nand application of aerosol OC. \nCOURSE OVERVIEW\nWith a format that combines the proven effectiveness of the Basic\nMonadnock® Defensive Tactics System Course\, the comprehensive\nMonadnock Expandable Baton dynamic hands-on curriculum\, the proven\nrestraint techniques of the Hiatt® Handcuffing Course and the time-tested\nDefense Technology® OC Instructor Course\, individuals will learn how to\nutilize the skills\, information\, technology and tactical options to meet the\nchallenges of the job\, and provides them with the proper skill set necessary\nto return to their agency and provide training to others. \n• Empty-hand defense\, active countermeasure techniques\, control and\ntakedown techniques\n• Instructor development\n• Utilizing expandable/straight batons for defense\, control\, escorts and\ntakedowns\n• Oleoresin Capsicum formulations/carriers\n• Transitional control for overcoming subject resistance and deescalation\nconsiderations\n• Establishing proper and practical anatomical control for the purpose\nof effecting the arrest\n• Effectiveness/safety/liability factors \nCOURSE BENEFITS\nThis course is taught by leading experts who have real-world experience\nin both psychomotor skill programs and field applications of those skills.\nOur instructors are either active or former SWAT\, CERT\, Military and/or\nSupervisory professionals with years of knowledge and experience as a\nMaster Instructor.
