Course Description
This course of study exposes participants to the key elements necessary
to be successful managers of law enforcement agencies. Participants will
be given opportunities to meet and study with other managers from similar
agencies. The learning environment and course exercises and activities will
be highly interactive. This course seeks to build communication between
group members, identify causes of and solutions to common problems, and
exchange appropriate information. This very practical course focuses on developing and defining management in relation to changing times and limited financial and human resources. It provides the police executive with knowledge, skills, and abilities vital to developing an innovative agency culture and is responsive to changing technology, management practice and the needs of society.
