N-DEx is the only national information sharing system that enables criminal justice agencies to search, link, and analyze local, state, tribal, and federal records. N-DEx contains incident, arrest, and booking reports; pretrial investigations; supervised released reports; calls for service; photos; and field contact/identification records.

N-DEx leverages many local, state, regional, and federal information-sharing systems to provide access to approximately 346 million records, containing nearly 1.9 billion searchable entities, from more than 5,982 agencies. N-DEx includes records from federal agencies, such as; the Drug Enforcement Administration, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, U.S. Marshals Service, and Department of Defense. N-DEx also provides access records from FBI Field Offices. N-DEx connects users to an additional 32 million records from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), National Crime Information Center (NCIC), Interstate Identification Index (III), and the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL).

N-DEx provides courtesy tools that save time, aid in investigations, and promote collaboration.

Batch Query: Save time by using batch query to search up to thousands of people, vehicles, and numbers.
Collaboration: Share information and resources in a secure real time environment.
Link and Geo Visualization: Plot records and activities on maps to discover patterns and leads.

There is no cost to agencies who utilize the N-DEx System
